Dinner at The Ivy – A Classic London Experience
We capped off our day with dinner at The Ivy, a London icon known for its timeless glamour and impeccable service. Nestled in the heart of Covent Garden, The Ivy has long been a favorite with celebrities and theatre-goers alike. The menu was as elegant as the surroundings — a perfect combination of classic British fare and contemporary flair. Wandering Through the West End
After dinner, we found ourselves strolling through the West End Theatre District — alive with marquee lights, lively cafés, and the anticipation of evening performances. Earlier in the day, we visited St. Paul’s Church, known as the “Actors’ Church.” While the outside sits quietly off the bustling Covent Garden piazza, the interior is rich with history and meaning. Along the walls are memorials to some of Britain’s most beloved actors and performers — a poignant tribute to the arts in the very heart of London’s theatre district. As we entered, a pianist was rehearsing, and the music mingled with the sunlight filtering through stained glass, creating a serene and moving moment.
Off to Southampton – And Onward to Adventure
The following day, we made our way to Southampton to board the Sky Princess. The excitement built as we approached the port and caught sight of the ship — sleek, stunning, and ready to take us northward through breathtaking fjords and Icelandic landscapes. With a perfect London day behind us, we were ready to set sail.
