A stroll down Laugavegur Street revealed an endless array of cozy cafés, local boutiques, and street art bursting with personality. We stopped often—sometimes for an Icelandic pastry, sometimes just to admire the murals that tell the city’s story.

You can’t visit Reykjavik without seeing Hallgrímskirkja Church. Its striking, modernist design—meant to resemble basalt columns—was breathtaking up close. We took the elevator to the top, where sweeping views of the colorful rooftops and surrounding sea made the perfect photo opportunity.
The Waterfront & Harpa Concert Hall
Down by the waterfront, the Harpa Concert Hall glistened like a glass jewel. Its geometric design reflects the light in a way that changes with every passing cloud. Nearby, we found the Sun Voyager sculpture, a dreamlike ode to exploration that felt symbolic of our own journey through Iceland.
